StansonTrade AcademyHi, I’m Britton. I’m a self-proclaimed handyman, and the title came about the honest way: I’m a dad of six (three boys, three girls) and husband to one. She’s the boss, and she’ll tell you so.
With a house full of kids, things break. Often. Sometimes in ways the manufacturer never thought possible. Somewhere along the way I decided that instead of calling someone every time, I’d figure it out myself. That’s how I’ve ended up patching drywall, painting more walls than I can count, repairing sheds, working on cars, landscaping the yard, and digging up sprinkler lines on a Saturday to find the one broken head that’s flooding the neighbor’s driveway. If you own a home, you know the drill. (Sometimes literally.)
Here’s what I’ve learned: there’s no feeling quite like stepping back from something you fixed or built with your own hands. It might not be perfect. The first wall I painted definitely wasn’t. But it’s yours, and you know you can do it again.
That’s what Stanson Trade Academy LLC is about. I love kids, and I love watching them have that moment where they realize, “Wait... I did that.” Every project is a chance to build something real, and to build some confidence while we’re at it.
No experience required. Just bring your curiosity. The safety glasses are on me.

Instructors never work alone with a single student out of view of others.
Every student wears safety glasses and closed-toe shoes, and learns tool safety before using any tool.
All electrical and low-voltage projects use low-voltage, de-energized training setups. Students never work on live household circuits.
Students follow the instructor's directions and the safety rules. If a child is misbehaving, we will redirect them first. If it continues, a parent will be asked to come and pick up their child, or to leave with them if you are attending.
Class size is capped at 12 students per instructor so everyone gets real supervision.
